There are two access tunnels. The central tunnel beneath the main building is predominantly used for the guests of the business and VIP areas as well as team coaches. Broadcast and production vehicles access the stadium's interior via the south gate underneath the Glockenturm.
Both tunnels also serve as escape routes providing that that stadium is evacuated quickly in the event of a dangerous situation.
The central tunnel forms the access to the spiral underground car park located in the interior of the stadium. This car park extends over three levels and offers parking spaces for up to 400 cars. These parking spaces are primarily available for VIP guests. Lifts travel directly between the car park area and the upper floors. For all other guests there is sufficient parking space around the Zentralstadion Leipzig.
Those who do not want to do without their car benefit from the outstanding connection of the Zentralstadion Leipzig to the public transport system. Several tram lines transport spectators from the central railway station to the "Sportforum" stop in just 8 minutes. For big events a special stop can be set up directly in front of the stadium
