Festwiese Leipzig
The third location of the Sportforum Leipzig, the Festwiese Leipzig with its Glockenturm (Bell Tower) is a sought-after venue for different open-air events.
International top acts like Michael Jackson, U2, Depeche Mode and the Rolling Stones have rocked the Festwiese. Participants of the Archery World Championship targeted gold and experienced pyrotechnicians impressed with their fireworks show flaming stars ("Flammende Sterne"). The extensive area is perfectly suited as the start and finish for marathons and half-marathon competitions as well as for company events. The Mitteldeutsche Marathon (Middle Germany Marathon) and the summer party of the Konsum Leipzig are just examples in a long list of events.
The Festwiese Leipzig is surrounded by a walk-on moat that features wide stairs in regular intervals and can be accessed by vehicles in the front area via ramps.
The historic complex is a listed building and can be booked for events all year round.

The Glockenturm (Bell Tower): centrepiece of Festwiese Leipzig
The historic Glockenturm (Bell Tower) to the north of the Festwiese Leipzig is the area’s landmark. The Glockenturm was renovated during the first construction phase and offers a VIP room and two patios.
It offers the perfect backdrop for small-scale events, especially during the summer months.
The VIP room is suitable for company events and press events alike. Besides, it can be booked during concerts on the Festwiese Leipzig. The guests are able to indulge in an exclusive atmosphere by watching the show from the patios or through the VIP room's big glass front.
A tunnel links the Glockenturm (Bell Tower) to the Red Bull Arena. A location that could also be reached in a matter of minutes via a staircase from the right-hand side patio.
